[Case Study of Marking System] Metal - Engraving on Raw Materials and Steel Surfaces

We will introduce three examples: engraving on raw materials, special font engraving on steel surfaces, and engraving on nameplates.

Here are examples of our marking system in metal. In the "Stamping on Raw Materials" section, a French company has introduced one unit of the "MULTI4 Inline 200," which stamps alphanumeric characters and logos on steel bars with a maximum diameter of 320mm. In the "Special Font Stamping on Steel Surfaces" section, a Japanese company has implemented the "MULTI4 200," equipped with a 5m cable and a trolley for in-factory movement. The logo is generated from the internal ERP system, and the created logo can be easily selected via a touch panel. In the "Stamping on Nameplates" section, one unit of the "MULTI4 250x250" model, featuring Ethernet connectivity and an automatic nameplate feeder, has been introduced. The plates to be stamped are transported inside a storage box and automatically positioned under the marking head. Once the plate is detected, the stamping begins automatically, and when the stamping is complete, the plate is removed. The "MULTI4 Handheld 120" has been adopted for the traceability of steel plates measuring 22 meters in length and 10 centimeters in height. The operator uses a data matrix reader to scan a QR code that integrates sample information of the steel parts. Once this information enters the unit control, the machine engraves the samples that are sent to the laboratory for quality control purposes. High temperature compatibility QR code enables quality control in a 1000℃ heating environment.

This is a DPM processing that can protect QR codes and other alphanumeric characters at a temperature of 1000°C in a high atmospheric temperature range, while simultaneously suppressing the oxidation discoloration of metals.

Started accepting orders for high-temperature specifications and curved surface direct parts marking. A transparent heat-resistant coating was applied to SUS304, achieving a heat resistance of 1000°C. To protect against metal thermal degradation and enable identification tracking, QR codes were printed using a curved surface-compatible laser. This allows for the identification of each part while maintaining the aesthetic of the metal, and without using foreign materials like tag seals, it ensures recyclability and quality tracking management that can be recognized by smartphone cameras.
